Wii Fit and exercise in general; Kava!
Unfortunately, Miranda ended up being mutilated by the Body Test, the software's way of telling you how fat and undisciplined you are; Miranda soon turned into more of a Rosanne than her normal, sexy sleekness. (Read: Too many cosmetics and as pencil thin as the Mii Channel allowed!) That isn't to say, of course, that I think supermodels that have no fat on their bodies are attractive, but I would much rather be one of them than my current weight/gender, so hey, why not go all the way in fantasizing?
In any case, Wii Fit is divided into four other categories for exercise: Yoga, Strength Training, Balance Games, and Aerobics. Seeing as so far I have been focusing on the 'Balance Games' section, that is what I'll focus on. From heading footballs, to collecting fish for hungry penguins on an iceberg by sliding said iceberg from side to side, the challenges are unique much of the time. This is not to say that they are counter-intuitive, but there is a bit of a learning curve if you are not used to manipulating your body weight much more than for walking!
The rest of the sections I will cover in later posts, as I am still practicing the balance games, and I have already quintupled my initial heading score!
To go from exertion to relaxation, however, is something that quite fits my temperament; to this point, I sampled a new drink I found at a local 7-11, called Novocaine. The drink claims to have a great calming effect, effective on everything from pre-dentist jitters to facing your boss for a raise! The active ingredient seems to be Kava extract, and as I have used this before, having gotten it from a local natural foods store. As for its effectiveness, at first I expected just a small dent in consciousness; my expectations were exceeded, however, and I took more time today, just appreciating sights around my neighborhood. I want to emphasize, however, that you shouldn't drive if you have drunk this, and walking is a much better experience with this in any case.
Overall, a productive, interesting day, and hopefully there will be a restful night for me.

Redundant, but...
In any case, I am off today and tomorrow from work, which includes my payday! I'm planning on seeing the new Wolverine movie with a couple of friends from work, and maybe picking up a few games for the first time in, well it seems like months.
The thing is, I've been trying to pay off a loan I had, as well as paying down some debts, in addition to dealing with a reduced hour schedule. Now, however, I have about 5 more hours a week, which increases the money I can play around with quite a bit. Of course, that's not even taking into account that the only bill I have to pay this paycheck is an 85$ loan payment! :3
Hopefully still doing well tomorrow,

Allergies
Today, however, marks the first time I had to call in sick due to allergic reactions. I was brought to my doctor, who prescribed me some medicine that I can't remember what it was called, but it stopped all the itching almost immediately; it's knocking me out though.
Hopefully I'll be able to come in tomorrow, because I really don't want to call in two days in a row.
Speaking of work-related woes, a co-worker has come down with a rather serious illness. I will not name them for privacy reasons, or the disease, but I am hoping they will pull through.
On a lighter note, however, I talked to Jenn Dolari, the creator of Closetspace on AIM! Hopefully, I didn't make a total fool out of myself :V

Web comics and updates: economic recession and its touch of miserliness; Vernor Vinge
I notice that a lot of comics have taken to updating less frequently, and people like to complain about it; however, seeing as they have to pay for things as well, and most often do NOT get much money from their creations, they have to get a job. A job means less free time, which can mean less frequent updates.
People are still, however, worried about the recession even though the stock market has been rising for the past month and a half. Things can actually get better, people, move along!
Also, Vernor Vinge is an awesome writer, and I recommend his books highly.
